On MedCo the instructing party selects a Medical Reporting Organisation (MRO) OR a Medical Expert from a randomly generated list.
If you instruct a Medical Expert directly you will still have to pay the same £180 fee however with a Medical Expert the instructing party has to do the administration and funding.
If you select an MRO; The MedCo system generates a random list which will include one high volume national provider (known as Tier One) and six other regional MROs (known as Tier Two).
*Medway Medical is currently registered as a regional MROs.
The MedCo portal will generate a unique ‘MedCo Case ID’ which MUST be given to the MRO by the instructing party and MUST then be displayed on the Medical Report.
The MRO will then pursue the instruction to completion in line with pre-set processes and procedures.
Once completed the MRO is required to upload key data from the Medical Report on an anonymised basis and the unique MedCo Case ID to the MedCo portal.
When Medway Medical is an option on your MedCo search results, you will be free to instruct Medway Medical, when Medway Medical is not an option you will need to instruct another MRO.
The MRO will then pursue the instruction to completion in line with pre-set processes and procedures.
Once completed the MRO is required to upload key data from the Medical Report on an anonymised basis and the unique MedCo Case ID to the MedCo portal.
When Medway Medical is an option on your MedCo search results, you will be free to instruct Medway Medical, when Medway Medical is not an option you will need to instruct another MRO.
